Charlottetown's Paper Lions took to the stage to a huge cheer before launching into a fun set of energetic indie pop.
Singer John MacPhee thanked the audience and acknowledged that it has been far too long since they had played the beautiful city of Toronto.
It seemed like MacPhee was the only one who got into the performance besides guitarist Colin Buchanan.
They were most definitely an East Coast band and many of their songs had a Sloan-esque vibe to them. There was a synth-pop feel to one song called 'My Friend' that got the capacity crowd singing along.
The East Coast Music Award-winning band also took the opportunity to unveil a song from their forthcoming album, release date TBD.
