Nova Scotia native Mo Kenney has joined the ranks of Pheromone Recordings.

The hotly buzzed artist has been turning heads in the Maritimes over the past 18 months, catching the eye and ear of indie music superstar Joel Plaskett, who will helm the boards on her forthcoming self-titled debut album, due out on September 25 via Plaskett’s New Scotland Records in conjunction with Pheromone.

Kenney will be joining Plaskett on tour this fall, opening his Alberta and British Columbia dates.

Kenney already has an impressive list of festivals under her belt including Canadian Music Week as well as ECMA Week, the Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Evolve and Nova Scotia Music Week. She’s also caught the act of Canadian luminaries including Ron Sexsmith and Gordie Sampson.
