CBC Radio 3 hands out 2011 Bucky Awards
The winners were announced today in CBC Radio 3's 2011 Bucky Awards. The awards are handed out annually based on voting by Radio 3's listeners. Vancouver's Dan Mangan was the only artist to win more than one award, taking Best Song for "Rows of Houses" as well as Sexiest Artist (which really has nothing at all to do with music, but is nice I suppose.) One of the really unique prizes Radio 3 hands out is Biggest Fan, which is decided by Radio 3's staff rather than listeners. This years winners were Russ Gordon and Cathleen Hagan both of Dearborn, Michigan
