Welcome To Home Routes

Home Routes is about world-class musicians, known and unknown alike, performing complete concerts in the comfortable intimacy of private homes and other non-traditional spaces. They're fun to attend, fun to present, and fun to play. Just imagine your living room as a concert hall with 25-40 of your closest friends and their closest friends gathered for an evening of great music. Imagine great artists delivering the same show in your living room that they would present on the Main Stage of a folk festival or a concert hall.

Do you like to be close up when you see a show so that it feels like the musician connects with you? Do you find yourself looking for the best spot so that you can hear perfectly? If you live in an urban centre is downtown parking a nightmare before you can hear music at your favorite club, coffeehouse or cultural centre? Have you wished that someone would open a great venue right in your neighborhood - someplace safe, clean and fun to visit? Do you like the kind of house party where people share good times and good music? If you live in rural Canada are your community shows limited because of population density and do you have a taste for more great music?

If the answer to any or all of these questions is yes, then you have a wonderful opportunity to participate in Home Routes. You can have perfect sound and sight lines, a great party and world-class music right in your own home or the home of a neighbour. There's no experience quite like it for the listener or presenter.

Home Routes is a not-for-profit organization made up of folks just like you and is dedicated to the love of music, to making music more accessible to a greater number of people and to supporting the artists that make the music. Home Routes is an organized approach to planning home-based shows that ensures a fun time for the presenter and the artist.
