Amanda Ash to Create Canadian Music Wiki

Amanda Ash made a name for herself as a CBC Radio 3 intern with her documentary on women in music. Now, according to the Edmonton Journal Ash is about to fill another pothole in the musical landscape by creating a Canadian Music Wiki
"For her master's thesis, she's working on a wiki website-- or online repository-- for new Canadian music. Fans, artists, venue owners, promoters and even journalists will be able to "upload content such as videos, MP3s, podcasts, relevant links, web pages, blogs, Twitter feeds, clippings, contact information, etc., you name it, onto ONE AWESOME PAGE/SITE," she writes in an e-mail interview.

"No more scouring the web. And it will all be user-generated."
I'll do my best to stay on top of this and let everyone know how and when they can help (if it's user generated content - it's going to need users to um...generate. You can follow Amanda on Twitter at twitter.com/AmandaAsh.

Cool! I've probably got some concert photos I can contribute (not great ones, but might be useful).

I read this in the journal this morning, and am now really excited about it. I hope the project goes well, and I can't wait until it goes live!
