Owen Pallett is January's X3 Artist of The Month

Owen Pallett is AUX TV, Exclaim! and CBC Radio 3's Artist of the Month.

It’s been 4 years since Owen Pallett, of Final Fantasy fame released his fantastic He Poos Clouds, and I couldn’t have felt cooler when I found out about it. That’s right, I said cool.

I’ve never been big on the game myself, despite being a big gaming nerd. So to find out that a Torontonian had co-opted Square Enix’s best selling game, the one that had not only pulled itself out of bankruptcy but went on to win some 7 Guinness World Records, I thought it was brilliant. And; to the best of my knowledge, he hasn’t been sued either. As you can read in his note, the name change was completely of his own volition.
