Welcome to North by East West

Nothing too long on this, the blog will become what it becomes but the basic idea goes something like this:

Canada is a very musical country. There are literally thousands of bands and musical performers and, as of last week, each and every Canadian has been a member of Broken Social Scene for at least a month (except Stephen Harper).

Canada's major centers are full of music, but so are most of Canada's smaller communities. Sadly most of Canada's music press is located in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. At NxEW the hope is to bring together people from Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, as well as dozens of other Canadian cities to talk about music - what's going on nationally and what's going on locally.

I've been told by some that they hate the logo and by others that they love it. I'm not a graphic designer so feel free to weigh in and let me know what you think, or design a better one. Anyone is welcome at any point to suggest changes to the site.
