Hexes & Oh's have released a new Pay What You Can remix album called Share which features remixes of Hexes & Ohs songs by Montag, Vitaminsforyou, DT666 (aka Patrick Pentland), and OPOPO as well as remixes of songs by Sloan, the Bicycles and Comorance by Hexes & Ohs. Winners Announced in Valery Gore Remix Contest

Via Valery Gore and Do Right Music the Valey Gore remix contest which was launched in April announced it's winners today.

"It wasn’t easy to narrow it down to one winner but after reviewing all the remixes we are pleased to announce Kidstreet, from Toronto as the winner with their up-tempo dance version of the song. The other entries worth honourable mention include remixes from “Teen” (Miami), “Devhender83” (Ontario) and “Nery Bauer” (Brazil)."

Re-Mix Spiral Beach

To celebrate the U.S. release of their album Ball, Toronto's Spiral Beach has posted the vocal track from "Teddy Black" (Track 1 on Ball) and invited everyone to "use the vocal in your own track, mash it, screw it, chop it, whatever! and then mail the end product back to them so they can post it.

Not Quite Dead: Bicycles Remix Album in the Works?

There has been much talk about a Bicycles break-up. Many thought it was a foregone conclusion (myself I'm still not buying it.) For the moment there seems to be, at the very least a remix album seems to be in the works.

Fuzzy Logic records is handing out songs from the recent Bicycles album Oh No It's Love to be remixed. If you'd like to get in on it (be a remixer-er drop an email to mbui at fuzzylogicrecordings.com.

Cadence Weapon Remixes Chad VanGaalen

About an hour ago, Edmonton rapper Cadence Weapon announced via his Twitter that he had remixed fellow Albertan Chad VanGaalen's "TMNT Mask" from the Soft Airplane release. It being free, I of course downloaded it, and it is good. Like really, really good. These guys need to form a group, and if they need a third member, let me suggest Mr. Owen Pallett aka Final Fantasy, based on the Fuse episode where Cadence Weapon and Final Fantasy covered VanGaalen's "Mini TV's."
