Recently unearthed this episode of Bandwidth was thought to be lost forever. As it is no one has heard this episode for nearly two weeks - Tortunately, like the Dead Sea Scrolls it has made its way back to the light of day.

Now you and I and everyone can listen to archival recordings of Amanda Putz interviewing Still Life Still, plus D-Sisive's reaction to winning the Echo Songwriting Prize and a live recording of Tiiu's CD release concert at The Black Sheep Inn.

Travel back in time all the way to October 10!

Also, don't forget, there will be a new Bandwidth tomorrow at 5:05 EST with Guelph's Katherine Wheatley, NQ Arbuckle, Carolyn Mark and more!

Requesting Songs for the Afghanistan Mixtape

When I posted about Bandwidth the other day I left out something important. Next month Amanda Putz, the host of Bandwidth, is putting together a mixtape for Canadians in Afghanistan. Don't get all political about it - my first inclination was to request If God's On Your Side by Danny Michel, but that is entirely the wrong vibe. This isn't about the war. It's not about Canadian policy in Afghanistan. This is just some music from home for people who are serving in afghanistan - people in the military, the foreign service, NGOs and humanitarian organizations, civilian employees and others.

If you have a request for them call 613.288.6536 and leave it on the machine or just leave it in the comments section for this post and I'll pass them along.

Personally, I'm requesting Train Station by Hooded Fang

Bandwith Talks Polaris Prize

The rogue podcaster is at it again. If you missed this weeks episode of Bandwidth with host Amanda Putz (or if you live outside of Ontario or in Toronto) you can now unmiss it! In this weeks episode Amanda, with the help of older CBC Radio 3 and Radio 2 interviews talks about Ontario's Polaris Music Prize nominees. Apparently something went wrong and part of the episode didn't make it into the MP3 but most of it is still there.

Amanda Putz Returns to Bandwidth

For those of you who miss Fuse and/or Waking Up With a Putz the good news is that Amanda Putz has returned to the CBCs airwaves, hi-lighting Ontario Music on Bandwidth. The bad news is that it only airs in Ontario and not in Toronto. The good news is that you can listen to it via streaming radio at 5 pm Eastern Time on Saturdays. The bad news is that if you miss it, you miss it. CBC Radio doesn't archive these shows and doesn't podcast local programming.

But someone has gone renegade, ripped and uploaded the program - the bastard.

That means that you can listen to yesterdays episode of Bandwidth - where Amanda talks all about friends in Bellwoods, interviews Casey Mejia and talks to the Wooden Sky about their new album, as well as playing some great music and talking about local music events.

To listen just hit play

Or Download it Here.

Oh...Amanda also talks with and about Jeremy Fisher at one point...here's a sample of Jeremy's work

Rock Plaza Central Co-Hosting Bandwidth + Limited Edition Vinyl

Chris Eaton of Rock Plaza Central reports that tomorrow (Sat May 23) he will be talking "Good and Evil" with Alan Neal on Bandwidth (CBC Radio One at 5:05 p.m.). If you're outside Ontario (or if you live in Toronto - where the CBC punishes us by not giving us Bandwidth) just go to cbc.ca/bandwidth at 5:05 EST and click on Listen Live.

On the Myspace Blog Eaton adds "And seriously, get into their comments and let them know how much you think I should always co-host this show. Screw touring. I'm going back to hosting radio!"

There is also a heads up about a limited edition vinyl pressing of "At The Moment Of Our Most Needing or If Only They Could Turn Around, They Would Know They Weren't Alone". Only 300 copies are (or will be) available but while they last they can be ordered over here.
