New Video from Ottawa’s ‘my Favourite tragedy’

My Favourite Tragedy, the 2010 winners of Canadaʼs biggest band competition Newcap Radio's LiVE 88.5 Big Money Shot, have debuted the music video for their Celtic inspired single Like This.  Fresh off a Northern Ontario tour and the release of their book/CD World of Quiet Talk, mFt has offered up an artistic and visually stunning video to accompany the hooky single.

Vocalist North Easton (formerly of the band Garrity) describes the video:

“The idea behind this video stems from the barriers and the lines we wouldn't normally cross and that are broken down in the heart of the song. All walks of life, from the beautiful to the eccentric, the awkward to the graceful, the simple to the complex are portrayed. In our album A World of Quiet Talk, what we think reflects in our actions. Dancing is as real as a person can get. It’s about letting go and essentially being fearless in the moment of song.”

My Favourite Tragedy is set to play the Legendary Horseshoe Tavern on October 3rd at 10PM in Toronto, ON.  You can find out more about the show and the band at myfavouritetragedy.com.  Click below to watch the video!
