Coffee Shop Project: Pick of the Month November 2011 – The Archives

Everyone knows that there’s nothing like a hot drink on a cold day. That’s why the Coffee Shop Project (CSP) continues to throw good music into the mix to make a good thing even better! This month’s instalment of the Coffee Shop Project will feature the full new EP Transitions from Toronto’s emerging post-rock outfit - The Archives!

The Archives have been busy this year establishing their reputation as one of the most passionate bands to come out of the city. Working hard to complete their new EP while playing shows on the side, they are ready to take the indie music community by storm. Not only will download cards for Transitions be available at participating Toronto coffee shops; the band will be playing a handful of Ontario shows this month in support of their new album.

An enthusiastic four-piece, The Archives have shared the stage with many of their rock-influenced counterparts during festivals like Canadian Music Week and North By North East. The force of their progressive and bass driven sound collides with strong lyricism to truly offer the full-package. With the November Mini Tour about to kick off, they will have the opportunity to show new listeners and even long time fans just what The Archives are all about. Feel free to check out more about the band here.

Coffee Shop Project is an Audio Blood initiative and aims to promote independent music with like-minded people in independent places. Launching in September, CSP stands and download cards can now be found in 13 coffee shops across Toronto.
